Pivana

Pivana – a special project (2015) If you thought that all our scenographic and prop works are short-lived – we have conclusive evidence that it is not and does not have to be the case. It is true that most of our projects came with an expiration date, but we are also very happy to be involved in long term projects, particularly special ones like this one with Zagreb’s Pivana pub! The well-known pub in Ilica 222 celebrated its 120th birthday (three digits, not a typo 😊) by becoming Pivana! Thanks to our client Zagrebačka pivovara and set designer Davor Antolić Antas, we were hired to come up with the brewery’s new look. It was a great project where all our skills and powers could be brought to light. Our master craftsmen proved their skills constructing a copper bar and a wind-up kettle. Part of the props were bought off of our showroom, and the rest we collected from antique shops, street markets, ad listings and some of our secret channels where we find everything that is otherwise impossible to find. 😊 We procured old beer-related props – paintings, advertisements, glasses, pitchers, coasters, bottle openers etc. for the brewery and its museum. The red cherry on top was the Fiat 500 oldtimer pickup, which we dolled up and permanently parked in Pivana to serve as a beer display.
